This small lochside hamlet sits at the end of one of Scotland’s most scenic roads, surrounded by forest, water and open Highland views. Despite its peaceful setting, it is straightforward to reach and clearly signposted.

Directions from Aberfoyle (Approximately 28 Minutes / 11.4 Miles)
From Aberfoyle, head west towards Trossachs Road and continue onto Lochard Road (B829).
Follow the B829 for approximately 10.8 miles. The road becomes single track in sections but is well maintained with regular passing places and a good surface.
At the T-junction just after Loch Arklet, turn right towards Stronachlachar.
Continue for approximately 0.3 miles and then turn right again following signs for Stronachlachar Pier
After a short distance, the destination will be on the left.

The nearest village is Aberfoyle, approximately 11 miles away, offering a Co-op supermarket, cafés, gift shops, a chemist and cycle hire. Callander lies further east and provides additional services.
Stronachlachar itself is intentionally quiet. Beyond the pier and café, it remains a peaceful Highland setting, ideal for guests seeking space, nature and calm surroundings.
