Check-in is available after 16:00. Check-out is before 10:00. The Lodge operates self-check-in via a secure lockbox. Full arrival instructions are provided in advance of your stay.

The Lodge accommodates a maximum of 12 guests across six bedrooms. It is particularly well suited to extended families and multi-generational gatherings.

The Lodge provides six bedrooms with a combination of king size beds and twin beds. Two bedrooms can accommodate a cot. Egyptian cotton bed linen by The Lyndon Company is provided throughout. Extra pillows and blankets are available.

The kitchen is fully equipped for group use and includes three ovens, two dishwashers, multiple fridges and freezers, pots and pans, baking trays and full crockery and utensils for twelve guests. Cooking basics, such as oil, salt, and pepper, are provided.

Yes. The house works well for families. A cot is available and children’s books, toys and board games are provided. Fireplace guards are installed.

As the property sits directly beside Loch Katrine, children should be supervised outdoors in the same way you would at any waterfront setting.

There are four bathrooms within the Lodge, including rainfall showers and baths. The layout allows the house to function comfortably at full capacity.

Pets are permitted by prior arrangement. Please contact us before booking to discuss suitability. Assistance animals are always allowed.

The main lounge overlooks Loch Katrine and includes a multi fuel wood burner. A separate games room contains a pool table. Television with digital and satellite channels is available. Books and reading material are provided.

Yes. The Lodge is waterfront. The gardens extend directly towards Loch Katrine and guests can access the lake from the shoreline. There is no road between the house and the water.

Yes. Starlink WIFI is installed and provides reliable connectivity despite the rural setting. A dedicated workspace is available for guests who may need to work during their stay.

Yes. Central heating operates throughout the house and underfloor heating is installed in key areas. The wood burner provides additional warmth in colder months.

Aberfoyle and Trossachs Pier both have cycle hire, and there are some stunning trails throughout the forest, many on tarmac/gravel roads. The Steamship also carries bikes onboard.

Yes. In addition to Stronachlachar Lodge, we offer two nearby self-catering cottages at Stronachlachar on Loch Katrine. Scott Cottage and Wattie Cottage.

Stronachlachar sits at the western end of Loch Katrine. Aberfoyle is approximately eleven miles away and can be reached in around twenty-five minutes by car. There is a café at the pier within walking distance. The setting is peaceful and intentionally quiet.

Exterior security cameras monitor the front of the property. There are no internal cameras. Smoke alarms and carbon monoxide alarms are installed. Fire extinguishers and a first aid kit are provided. Noise monitoring devices are installed to ensure respectful use of the property.

Housekeeping can be arranged between 10:00 and 16:00 on Saturdays at additional cost. Please enquire in advance if this service is required.

Yes, the major supermarkets will deliver to Stronachlachar.

Longer stays of 28 days or more may be arranged by prior agreement.

Yes. Free private parking is available on site. We have an EV charging station available with Eco and Fast charging, with usage payable directly to the hosts.
